Inspired by the Stinking Rose in San Francisco – this is wonderful with your favorite loaf of bread. The oil is great for dipping, and the garlic itself is great for spreading. My favorite is to do both – enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups peeled garlic cloves
- 1 ½ cups extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
Directions
Place all ingredients in an oven safe casserole dish. Cover and place in a 275 degree oven for 90 minutes.

Oh wow, that looks good! I'm guessing it lasts forever in the fridge so long as it is covered by the oil?

To tell you the truth, I don't think it has ever lasted that long in my house. Usually when I make it, it is gone the same day.
